1. Prevention and treatment of vitamin B1 deficiency

As with fursultiamine, adults are usually given 5 to 100 mg per day subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intravenously.

1. Warning

    Injection in ampoules may cause adverse reactions due to mixing of glass fragments when the container is cut, so cut and use carefully to minimize mixing of glass fragments during use, but be especially careful when using in children and the elderly (limited).

2. Do not give to the following patients.

    Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to this drug or any of its components.

4. Adverse reactions

   1) Serious adverse reactions

     Since shock may occur in rare cases, sufficient monitoring should be carried out, and if symptoms such as a drop in blood pressure, chest pain or shortness of breath appear, the administration should be stopped immediately and appropriate measures should be taken.

   2) Other adverse reactions

    (1) Hypersensitivity: In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions such as rash may occur, so administration should be discontinued if symptoms occur.

    (2) Gastrointestinal tract: rarely nausea, vomiting, glossitis, sometimes diarrhea.

    (3) Other: episodic headache, frequent urination.

5. Precautions for use

   1) Since intravenous injection may cause vascular pain, the injection speed should be as slow as possible.

   2) As a general precaution when using the injection solution, do not use the remaining solution after partial use to avoid bacterial contamination.

   3) Ampoule cut: This medicine uses a single-point cut ampoule, so cut the mark on the head of the ampoule upwards and lightly apply force to the opposite side (downwards). Also, to avoid contamination of the ampoule, when cutting the ampoule, wipe the area around the top with a cotton swab, etc. (for ampoule only).

6. Precautions for storage and handling

   1) Keep out of the reach of children.

   2) Please be aware that changing to another container may cause an accident or is undesirable from a service point of view.
